Event Policies
Contact Rita 3 weeks in advance to discuss your event and provide your final count.
Family Tables - two (2) served tables are included in the reception fee. If additional tables are requested, there is a charge of $40.00/table. The maximum number of family tables allowed is four (4).
White linens are included in the rental/setup fee for wedding receptions. White skirts will be used for the gift table, head table, buffet line(s), coffee bar, and dessert bar.
Lights are available for the head table and can be installed by Holiday Gardens staff for a fee of $50.00.
Decorating times are to be scheduled with our Manager, Rita. All weddings will be allowed 2 hours of decorating time, which is included in the rental/setup fee. Your allotment time begins at the time that is pre-arranged with Rita. Additional time can be purchased for a fee of $50.00/hour (up to four hours total) and will be added to your invoice. It is important to have sufficient people to complete decorating within the time allotment. We recommend you do as much prep work as possible BEFORE arriving at Holiday Gardens.
If you will be using candles, they must be battery-operated/flameless.
A credit card must be provided to Management before your event begins. If any damage to our facility/property occurs, the cost of repairing or replacing a damaged item will be added to your credit card.
Because we have beautiful grounds with many flowers & plants throughout, and water running through the property, children should not be left outside unattended. For the safety of our young guests, children must be supervised at all times. Shoes are required and going/playing in the water is forbidden. The grounds formerly belonged to the old Potosi Brewery and, as such, glass fragments and even larger pieces of glass are continually appearing in and around the water. Rocks from the banks of the stream are not to be removed or thrown into the water as this disrupts the flow of the stream.
Absolutely no fake rose petals or fake flowers are to be used outside as this is considered littering and you will be fined. We want to keep our grounds and earth beautiful for years to come.
For on-site wedding ceremonies, only the wedding party is allowed in the building which will be open for 45 minutes prior to the ceremony. The Holiday Gardens building is NOT open to other guests for any reason, including use of the restrooms. We ask that all members of the wedding party be informed of this rule so that they are not opening doors and allowing people to enter.
No alcohol may be brought onto Holiday Gardens’ grounds or into the building. Any alcohol not purchased from our bar will be confiscated by staff. Absolutely NO COOLERS are allowed on the grounds! Alcohol should not be used as favors. If alcohol is found on our grounds, a $250.00 fee will be added to your invoice.
Per your contract, you are allowed 6 hours of time for your event. Additional hours may be purchased for $150.00/hour but events must end no later than 11:00 P.M. The purchase of additional time must be approved by the Holiday Gardens’ Manager and your DJ.
If the outside bar is being used for your event, the restrooms will be open with entrance from the side door of the building. Entrance to the reception area IS NOT ALLOWED until the doors open at your contracted time. The outside bar will close 15 minutes prior to the meal being served.
A candy and/or popcorn bar is allowed, but a $75.00 clean-up fee will be added to your invoice.
Dinner will be served at the time chosen during your planning meeting. It is important that the wedding party be seated so the meal can be served as scheduled to avoid compromising the quality of the food. Time should be allotted for greeting guests after your ceremony, travel, pictures, or any planned stops, as this generally takes longer than you think.
If speeches are being given by the Best Man, Maid of Honor, and/or parents, they must be held after the meal.
Desserts may be brought into Holiday Gardens but must be made in a licensed, certified facility. Parties must provide their own plates/napkins. Cake cutting is available for $25.00.
